Storm
Lou’s heart horse and the lead horse on trails. Storm holds the horses & humans on trails like his life depends on it. He takes his job very seriously & he’s the corner stone of team Ubuntu.
Loves: Louise
Hates: anyone who’s not Louise
Rudi
Rudi is my right hand man. He is possibly the best horseman I have ever met, and is equally passionate about people and horses. When Rudi is not on a horse you may find him researching the wines of the area. He is an absolute gem!
Dreamer
Dreamer is one of our rescue horses. He is a 7 year old Boerperd gelding who has come from a difficult past. He is the sweetest gentlest boy, but can be spicy under saddle. He definitely fancy's himself as a bit of a Lady's man. Mind you, so do the ladies!
Lilly
A good horse is never a bad colour... But a good horse in a good colour? That's quite something! Lilly is a palamino Quarterhorse mare. I fell instantly inlove with her and when I found out she was for sale, it was inevitable that she would join our herd. She is a great kid's horse and a firm favourite with clients and staff!
Tequila
Tequila is a rescue mare, we think Boerperd / Saddler cross.
She is a star jumper and loves a good run!
Her long ears are always distinctive, but she scrubs up quite well for the hunt!
Loves: A good run
Hates: having a bath
Lancelot
Lancelot is the oldest of our herd. He is approaching his golden years, but still really enjoys going out for a good gallop. He is a 18 year old Warmblood Gelding. We call him our 'Husband Horse' because he is a gentle giant who is super reliable and easy to ride.
Azzy
Azzy is a 12 year old Boerperd Gelding, also from a difficult past. He is Rudi's own personal horse, and together they are inseperable. Azzy is a very skilled mounted games pony, but is also a brilliant trail horse!
Orion
Orion is a Boerperd cross Percheron gelding. He is the newest member of our herd. He is just gorgeous.
Loves: Kids.
Hates: Other geldings stealing his limelight.
African Sky
When I lived abroad, what I missed most was the vastness of the African Sky. I knew this Warblood filly from birth. When she became available I bought her for my husband’s 50th birthday. My hubby isn’t much of an equestrian, so I promised to look after her for him.
Galileo
This colt is one to watch in the future. He is part Clydesdale, part Arab, part Thoroughbred, not yet 2 years old and already he is an absolute beauty.
Loves: Chewing on everything (Is he a puppy?).
Hates: His sister nicking his food.
Spring Rain
Our first homebred horse, we are very excited for her future at the farm. Spring Rain was born on the spring equinox, just as a massive rainstorm ended the crushing draught of 2017.
Roomys & Esiotrot
Our 2 stable cats and very much part of the Pink Geranium family. Their job is to catch rats, but they prefer horse riding.
Tuffy
Tafadswa is my right-hand man. Driver, groom, accountant, you name it, Tuffy does it. His son Zane & wife Melody are very much part of the family.
